center for robotics and embedded systems University of Southern California Viterbi School of Engineering

CRES research is conducted in over 8 different laboratories, and involves over 60 (and constantly increasing) physical robots, ranging from hoppers and helicopters to mobile robot teams to humanoids. The major areas of robotics research being studied include mobile, humanoid, molecular, and reconfigurable robotics, as well as embedded systems. The majority of these efforts are interdisciplinary in nature, involving biological inspiration and a variety of application domains, ranging from medicine to art.
